MOORESVILLE, NC - Saturday, June 22nd
broke loose the debut of the Highlands
Motorsports Goody’s Dash Team Car
#52 with Chuck Gafrarar as the new Team
Driver! Gafrarar officially took over the
seat in the events run at the Memphis Motorsports
Park, Memphis, TN as he qualified the car
in 11th place.
Before the race Gafrarar stated” the
crew did an excellent job preparing my car.” “I
feel confident we will bring the Highlands
Motorpsorts car to the front.” At the
race start, Gafrarar was on the move, with
the 52 gaining positions within the first
30 laps. By lap 35 he was in fifth place,
with Gafrarar running strong, but felt the
car getting tight. A few laps later the crew
called him in to pit under green, finding
a right rear tire going down. On restart
he was in 17th position. Gafrarar turned
the negative into positive as he kept a smooth
run forward and brought the #52 into a 12th
place finish!
