Chuck Gafrarar Racing 2002 - Track Talk Chapter v.1
www.chuckgracer.com

[ visitor numbers dropped a bit this week with 495 total visitors at an average of 70 hits per day. ]

We anticipate a good run at Myrtle Beach this week will change all that.

I think this week instead of sitting here pointing out a feature at our site for you to enjoy, I will just talk. You see not only do I do the web site for Chuck, but he and I have been pretty good friends for a while now. Through the years I spent weekends either racing with Chuck or against him. I can say I enjoyed the with part more, but we put on some pretty good shows for the local folks when we were against each other.

So today I'm sitting watching Winston Cup qualifying at the Glenn and thinking to myself how I hope they never decide to remove roadcourse races from the Cup schedule. Don't get me wrong I totally understand that it takes a certain skill to drive on a oval track, but I also believe that anyone has the chance to sneak in a win here and there. Now a roadcourse is a different story, to me this is where true driving talent will shine. It really is an entire different breed of racing.

Ok I know your thinking... yeah so what's your point? Well you see Chuck was a magician behind the wheel on a roacourse track. If you asked me the first things I thought of when you said the name Chuck Gafrarar, my reply would be asphalt and roadcourse. Personally I always pictured Chuck in a different series, open wheel roadcourse stuff, you know cart, formula one, etc.

So I'm sitting on my couch just thinking of how awesome it would be to see Chuck driving a Cup car at the Glenn or Sears Point. I personally believe it would be a site worth seeing so any team owners out there, if your listening, how about bagging one of those so called "roadcourse experts" and giving a real driver a chance? Chuck can be reached at chuck@chuckgracrer.com

Hey while you here don't forget to checkout the new StockCar Toon by Mike Smith below. Good luck car 52 at the Beach!

That's it for now... see you at the track!
